KENOSHA, Wis. -- Parkside flag football and head coach Jared Cardarelle are proud to announce the hiring of Chris Cooper as the associate head coach for the program. Cooper will also serve as the team's defensive coordinator.
"When I took the job at Parkside my first priority was to bring Coach Cooper over," said Cardarelle. "I consider him as one of the best DC's in the country. I can't wait to see what he does as the associate head coach and defensive coordinator for the Rangers."
Cooper arrives at Parkside after spending two seasons on the coaching staff at Bryant & Stratton College, including serving as the Bobcats' head coach during the 2026 season.
Cooper began his coaching career as the defensive coordinator at Bryant & Stratton during the 2024-25 season. Under his direction, the Bobcats finished 8-4 while allowing just 15.9 points per game and 13.5 points per game against junior college competition. The season culminated with Bryant & Stratton earning a victory in the national playoffs.
In January of 2026, Cooper was elevated to head coach of the Bobcats. He guided the program to a 9-4 record and another national playoff appearance, where Bryant & Stratton recorded a program-record three national playoff victories. Cooper also helped lead the Bobcats to recognition as the NJCAA Flag Football Academic Team of the Year.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Cooper competed collegiately at Wisconsin Lutheran College during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He played in the defensive backfield at both safety and cornerback.
