Racine native Jim Chones will join the Fox Sports Net Wisconsin broadcast team, filling in for Jon McGlocklin as Milwaukee Bucks analyst for eight selected games televised in February and March.

Chones will serve as an analyst for Bucks games, beginning with the game against New Jersey Tuesday, Feb. 3. He will team with Bucks play-by-play voice Jim Paschke on seven other games: Feb. 9 and 11 and March 10, 13, 15, 18 and 21.

The former St. Catherine's High School and Marquette University standout played three seasons at Marquette before turning pro and he was only the second college player in NCAA history to leave college before his graduating year to play in the NBA. Chones played with the Cavaliers for five seasons and played two years in the American Basketball Association for the New York Nets and the Carolina Cougars.

He earned an NBA Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1980 and after two years with the Lakers he completed his NBA career with the Washington Bullets (Wizards).

Chones has served as color analyst for Marquette and spent 11 years as a color analyst for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He began his broadcasting career as the color analyst for the Baldwin Wallace College men's basketball team on cable during the 1984-85 season.
