ARKUSH: You know, Bob, a funny thing happened on the Bears’ way to their third game of the 2018 season in Arizona this Sunday. Last Monday night, the defense was even more dominant for almost 3.5 quarters against an inferior Seattle offense than it was for a half against the Green Bay Packers the week before.

But the offense and QB Mitch Trubisky, around which this Matt Nagy-coached team was supposed to be built, if anything took a baby step backwards in managing one more point (17) than the week before but only 271 yards of total offense, while Trubisky threw his first two picks of the year. Clearly nobody is ready to quit on Trubisky yet, or at least nobody should be, but how much longer should patience with Trubisky be the order of the day before handing the keys to the offense to Jordan Howard and seeing how far these Bears can go with a potentially top-5 defense and a dominant power running game?
