AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Ka'ai Tom doubled twice and singled, scoring a run and also driving one home as the Akron RubberDucks defeated the Harrisburg Senators 6-2 on Thursday. With the victory, the RubberDucks swept the three-game series.

Tyler Krieger doubled twice and singled with an RBI and a run for Akron.

Akron started the scoring in the first inning when Tom scored on a double play and Li-Jen Chu hit an RBI single.

Trailing 5-1, the Senators cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Chuck Taylor hit a solo home run.

The RubberDucks tacked on another run in the eighth when Alexis Pantoja hit an RBI double, driving in Tyler Friis.

Akron right-hander Aaron Civale (3-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings. Opposing starter Jackson Tetreault (2-2) took the loss in the Eastern League game after giving up five runs and 12 hits over six innings.

The six extra-base hits for Akron included a season-high six doubles.
