To hunt a duck I need: Hunter safety training, a license, stamps, a shotgun, shells and shot all of limited size. The gun can only fire three shots. Hours, season, and limits are set. Yet with laws, we enjoy the sport.

Contrast: You can buy almost anything designed for mass-killing of people. Wisely, long ago, sub-machine guns like "Tommy Guns" were outlawed, but not their updated "assault" versions. To keep us and congress ignorant of gun carnage (30,000 per year), Congress has outlawed funding for the CDC to study their impact.

It's time to cut through the B.S. and political dancing. Outlaw mass-firing/killer weapons. If you can't protect yourself with a 6-gun, get a can of anti-grizzly bear pepper spray. Think about it: How many more kids and teachers would be alive today without mass-firing weapons.

Although guns are the momentary focus, Big Money runs the system. "Bribery" once got you jail. Today our Supreme Court said that's OK. Now gigantic "bribes" are called "campaign contributions." Congress needs to fix the law, but that will mess up their income.

Still don't get it? Read The Journal Times article from March 2 "The NRA has given more than $4.5 million to help Republican office holders in Wisconsin — Walker about $3.5 million." Not to pick on Walker, but every other guy with his stature probably gets similar "aid." Our little guy voices don't have a prayer of being heard or listened to.

Next election give up party. Check the contributions. If the candidate gets bundles from a few rich sources, he/she's in their pocket(s). Vote for the other little guy, and maybe we'll get some representation, too.
