The three billionaires who got $250 million in state aid from the residents of Wisconsin to build a new Milwaukee Bucks arena are now a tad richer. It was reported that they now have a franchise that is worth more than a billion dollars. Wow, we invest $250 million and now they have a billion dollar basketball team.
We also are still helping out the dollar-rich Milwaukee Brewers with our perpetual tax on purchases we generously give them each and every day we shop. Maybe it’s time for us to do a telethon to help the Packers as they are in line to give Aaron Rodgers a $30-million-a-year contract, as it would only be fair.
Whoops, I forgot our elected politicians who spend more than a third of their time on the phone looking for contributions; let’s also throw a buck or two their way. Doesn't it feel good helping others?
