My daughter took me to the sale at the Boston Store on Saturday. At least I thought it was a sale. I had been looking to buy a red copper 5-minute Chef as I can only eat Egg Beaters and I thought it would be great to make omelets.
I knew the price at Walmart and Bed Bath and Beyond was $39.95 so I assumed that was a set price. Boy was I wrong. My daughter and I walked around the store and she picked up a pair of jeans, so we decided to check out.
I made a big mistake in not asking the price of my item. Well, when I arrived home and checked the sales slip, it was $80 with a 20 percent discount so the price was $64.
When I called Boston Store on Sunday I was told very abruptly the new owners set the price. So consumers beware if you think you are getting a bargain. Know your prices. No returns.
