SOMERS — A man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at Highway E and Sheridan Road on Sunday.
Authorities with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department and emergency personnel responded to the crash at about 10 a.m. in which a van had rolled over and was discovered on its roof when deputies arrived, according to Somers Fire Chief Carson Wilkinson. The vehicle had also struck a traffic standard with a streetlight, he said.

Wilkinson said rescue personnel took the man to Froedtert Kenosha Hospital for further evaluation and treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The man’s condition was not known as of Sunday. Wilkinson said Fire Department and rescue personnel remained on scene for about an hour and a half.
The crash forced a partial closure of the south and northbound lanes at the intersection. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
