How and where to get COVID-19 vaccinations:

Everyone in Wisconsin 16 and older became eligible for immunization against the coronavirus on April 5.

Many vaccinations are available through health care providers, local health departments, pharmacies and community clinics, some of them run by state or federal officials. The state has a list and map available online and a registry for appointments and a waiting list. A hotline for questions about vaccines and assistance with registration is at 844-684-1064.

In Madison, UW HealthSSM Health St. Mary's Hospital and UnityPoint Health-Meriter have information about vaccination on their websites. So does Public Health Madison and Dane County, which is administering some immunizations at Alliant Energy Center.

Most pharmacies are offering shots, including Costco, CVS, Hometown PharmacyHy-Vee, Kroger (including Roundy's, Metro Market and Pick-n-Save), Managed Health Care Associates, Meijer, Walgreens and Walmart.

State-run vaccination clinics at available in Douglas, La Crosse, Marathon, Racine and Rock counties. Sites supported by the Federal Emergency Management Agency are at Alliant Energy Center, the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee and UW-Eau Claire.

While health officials say vaccine allocated around the state is mostly meant for people living nearby, people can travel to other counties to seek injections.

None of the three vaccines available so far have been authorized for use in children under age 16, though studies are ongoing and officials have said authorization for younger ages may come by fall.

To see how many people in Wisconsin have been vaccinated, check the data at the state Department of Health Services. For Dane County data, check the county dashboard.
