WisEye Morning Minute: Legislative Redistricting in the Courts
On this episode of Newsmakers, WisconsinEye host Lisa Pugh talked redistricting with UW-Madison political scientist Barry C. Burden to shed light on what we might expect to hear as Wisconsin's Supreme Court takes up the legislative redistricting case Johnson v. Wisconsin Elections Commission. Professor Burden says there could be a few surprises, one being the justices themselves. Burden says the case will likely continue for weeks, but is supposed to be wrapped up by March to ensure candidates for fall elections can begin circulating nomination papers.
