KENOSHA — City police apprehended five people Sunday in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles over the last several days.
The suspects were being questioned after an 8:30 a.m. car chase, which ended in foot chases in the area of 39th Avenue and 45th Street, according to Lt. Joe Riesselmann of the Kenosha Police Department. He said arrests and forthcoming charges were pending as of Sunday afternoon.

“We believe they were involved in multiple auto thefts and thefts from vehicles over the past couple of days,” he said. “They were driving in circles and, ultimately, they bailed (from the vehicle) and we caught everybody in foot chases.”
No one was injured.
Riesselmann said a patrol officer had recalled the vehicle involved having been reported with stolen plates, which led to the individuals in question being taken in for questioning.
