If the Democrats see what’s coming down the pike and want to move the ball forward, they must understand that the ball is in their court, get their ducks in a row, step up to the plate, and realize that the buck stops here.
Having had a fly on the wall and connected the dots, the Democrats will decide that there is more weight than meets the eye and will put impeachment on the table, step on the gas, and not make it a fly-by-night issue.
Then they will hold Trump’s feet to the fire, get Pelosi’s back, and learn to walk and chew gum at the same time without burning the candle at both ends. Nevertheless, Trump hopes that his Ukranian venture will be swept under the rug, but the public will finally realize that an inmate is running the asylum. So in the end Trump will be caught between a rock and a hard place. When he sees the writing on the wall and that the horse is out of the barn, he will feel stabbed in the back and react like a loose canon.
Trump will be found holding the bag and will be hung out to dry. Then the rats will abandon ship and run for the tall grass. That said, at the end of the day the Republicans will no longer suck up to Trump but will throw him under the bus and feed him to the lions.
