RACINE COUNTY — Bill Pringle, who has led a neighborhood opposition to We Energies’ Oak Creek power plant, says he will run for state Assembly this fall against incumbent state Rep. Thomas Weatherston.
Pringle, 43, a Mount Pleasant contractor, will run as an independent against Weatherston, R-Caledonia. No other challengers have yet emerged. Keith Deschler had registered to run as a Libertarian but said Wednesday he will not pursue the seat.
