RACINE COUNTY — Republican presidential candidate John Kasich will host an event Saturday in Burlington, while a surrogate for Hillary Clinton will appear Thursday in Racine.

Kasich, the Ohio governor, is scheduled to host a town hall meeting Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Veterans Terrace, 589 Milwaukee Ave. The event is free.

Kasich is trying to make a late push for the Republican nomination, though he trails by a large margin to front-runner Donald Trump and Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.

Meanwhile, U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., will be in Racine on Thursday on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Booker is scheduled to appear at 3:15 p.m. at Wilson’s Tea and Coffee, 3306 Washington Ave.

The campaign visits come ahead of Wisconsin’s April 5 presidential primary.
