Kindergarten registration begins in Burlington

BURLINGTON — Burlington Area School District’s kindergarten registration is open for children who will be 4 or 5 years old prior to Sept. 1. Students seeking to enroll in 4K or 5K (who were not enrolled in 4K this year) should enroll early to select a program and location preference, as space is limited.

Burlington Area School District offers both a traditional program and the Montessori program. Both programs offer the same core curriculum, with the traditional program using a traditional classroom environment and the Montessori program using a more hands-on learning environment. The cost is the same for both programs, as Burlington is one of only a handful of public schools in Wisconsin to offer a tuition-free Montessori program.

Registrants will receive a confirmation email from Sign Up Genius in mid-March with the student’s school and program selection and details about the kindergarten screenings at Waller Elementary School on April 23 (for 4K students) or May 17 (for new 5K students).

Registration packets are available on the district’s website; at the District office, 100 N. Kane St.; at the four elementary schools; or by calling the district office at 262-210-0210.
