MOUNT PLEASANT — Joseph Pucci, son of Michael J. Pucci, has been awarded a $4000 Roma Lodge Merti Scholarship. He is a graduate of Case High School. Pucci plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and major in engineering.

Roma Lodge offers up to five scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The Roma Lodge Merit Scholarship, one $4000 scholarship and three $500 scholarships and The Russell and Helen Missureli Scholarship are available to children of Roma Lodge members.

Pucci was accepted into the College of Engineering, Department of Engineering Physics where only 30 of the 4524 engineering students are enrolled. Pucci was Valedictorian of 21st Century Preparatory School in 2015. He received Academic Letters his Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior years.

Pucci received the Outstanding Commitment to YAR and the Youth Bradford-Johnson YAR awards in 2017. He was enrolled in the IB and Project Lead the Way engineering courses while at Case. Pucci was also a member of the National Honor Society.

He was a member of RUSD Link Crew and was a Link leader involved in mentoring incoming Freshmen. Pucci served on the Youth as Resources board for four years and also served as their secretary and chairman. Pucci has been involved in Empty Bowls of Racine, Visioning a Greater Racine and the Kiwanis Holiday Lights Foundation.
