MUSKEGO — Andrew Bavlnka is the new associate principal at Muskego High School for the 2015-16 school year.
Bavlnka will replace Kristi Brooks, who was promoted to director of secondary student learning within the Muskego-Norway School District.
Bavlnka was an English teacher for 11 years and supported strong student achievement results within the English department as an advanced placement English instructor as well as teaching English to all high school students, grades nine through 12. He served as a mentor to new English teachers at his high school and coached multiple student athletes in cross-country and track.
Bavlnka received his master’s degree from Concordia University in Mequon in curriculum and instruction and his educational administration license from Viterbo University. His undergraduate degree in secondary education was earned from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Brooks was a high school English teacher for 13 years in the Hamilton School District and most recently finished her second year as one of the associate principals at Muskego High School where she has led and supported strong literacy initiatives of the school and the Muskego-Norway School District. She received her master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. and administrative licenses from Concordia University in Mequon. Her undergraduate degree in secondary education was earned from UW-Milwaukee.
