RACINE — The following students were winners in the Knights of Columbus Knowledge Contest held Feb. at St. Catherine’s High School:

Spelling

Fifth Grade: First place went to Sean Moore of John Paul II Academy; second place went to Keanna Banks of John Paul II Academy

Sixth Grade: First place went to Anaya Segura of St. Joseph School; second place went to Jackson Gemmell of St. Lucy School

Seventh Grade: First place went to Tim Kaiser of John Paul II Academy

Eighth Grade: First place went to John Perugini of John Paul II Academy; second place went to Jocelyn Garcia of John Paul II Academy

Seventh Grade: First place went to Samuel Hapka of 21st Century Preparatory School; second place went to Marissa Espinoza of St. Catherine’s Middle School

Eighth Grade: First place went to Gavin Cain of St. Lucy School; second place went to Kyleigh Anderson of The Prairie School

Winners received $50 and $25 gift cards for first and second place, respectively, along with ribbons and certificates of merit. First-place finishers advanced to the regional competition Saturday in West Allis. Second-place winners served as alternates.

First- and second-place regional winners advance to the state comeptition March 30 in Wisconsin Rapids.
