RACINE COUNTY — Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave has endorsed Bryan Steil for the Wisconsin 1st Congressional District on Tuesday.
Steil, member of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents, is running as a Republican to replace House Speaker Paul Ryan who announced he was not seeking re-election in November.
Delagrave said Steil is “focused on preparing the next generation for the jobs of the future.”
“As a regent, Bryan has worked tirelessly to ensure that our students, whether that can be at a four year college or tech school are given the chance for an affordable, high-quality education,” Delagrave said. “I am proud to support Bryan Steil for Congress.”
Steil also received the endorsement of Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow who called Steil a “tested conservative.”
“Our state has made great strides in the past eight years and Bryan has been on the front lines leading the Wisconsin conservative movement,” Farrow said. “Bryan will take the same commitment that he has for our community to Washington.”
