KENOSHA — Police found a woman dead in the water in Kenosha on Monday.

At about 9:15 a.m. Monday, the Kenosha Police Department responded to the Pike Creek area just north of Pennoyer Park, 3601 Seventh Ave., for a report of an unresponsive female in the water, according to a City of Kenosha Police new release.

Upon arrival, officers and Kenosha Fire personnel found a 25- to 30-year-old woman dead.

The death is currently being investigated by the Kenosha Police Detective Bureau. The identity of the victim was still being confirmed and was not being released as of Monday night.
