MOUNT PLEASANT — Two suspects in a string of baby formula thefts have been arrested, according to police.

Officers arrested Racine residents Connie Andersen, 38, and Joseph Cotton, 43, on Wednesday, a news release stated.

The thefts occurred on Dec. 9, 10, 13 and 14 at the Pick ’n Save at 1202 N. Green Bay Road.

Assistance from a Pick ’n Save loss prevention officer, a license plate number detected during the investigation and a Wisconsin State Highway Patrol trooper who had allegedly seen the suspects and their vehicle, all contributed to the arrests, police said.

A Mount Pleasant officer spotted the suspect vehicle that was believed to be used during the thefts while staking out a residence. Andersen and Cotton were then placed under arrest.
