KENOSHA — A fight that broke out Sunday at a Kenosha tavern after the Green Bay Packers’ playoff victory on Sunday ended with gunfire.
Kenosha Police were called to the area of Slammers Tavern, 6832 24th Ave., at 1:42 a.m. Monday for a report of shots being fired.
Kenosha Police Sgt. Matt Strelow said officers were told that a fight had broken out at the tavern “at some point after celebrating the Packers’ win” over the Seattle Seahawks.
The fight moved outside the tavern, and people began to leave the area when gunfire erupted.
“Surveillance video shows that a (pickup) truck was leaving the area and several muzzle flashes came from the truck,” Strelow said.
Officers found nine brass shell casings in the area.
Strelow said there were no injuries and no property damage. The incident is still under investigation.
