Woman assaulted at bar

RACINE - A 23-year-old woman told Racine police she was attacked by another woman at 1:47 a.m. on Friday, July 9, while at The Place, 509 Sixth St.

Reports said the woman and her attacker got into an argument and the suspect threw a glass at the victim, striking her in the face. A physical fight ensued, with the victim sustaining a large laceration to her leg from the broken glass.

Police said the victim went to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, 3801 Spring St., for treatment. Reports said the cut to her leg required stitches.

Robber takes cell phone, victim grabs gun

RACINE - Racine police were contacted at 11:42 p.m. Thursday, July 8, by a 31-year-old man who said he had been robbed, and had taken the robber's gun.

Reports said the victim was walking in the 1400 block of Perry Avenue when one of two robbery suspects yelled at him and pointed a revolver at him. The man told police he was ordered to the ground, but on his way down, he grabbed the robber's gun.

Police said the two men struggled and a second robbery suspect took the victim's cell phone. The victim then ran south with the gun, which he turned over to officers.

The first suspect was described as a black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140 pounds and wearing a black baseball cap, blue shirt and jeans. The second suspect was described as a black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, and wearing a white T-shirt and light blue shorts.

Dirt bike reported stolen

CALEDONIA - A dirt bike motorcycle was reported stolen around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 4 in the 3900 block of Highway H, according to a police report.

A man told Racine County sheriff's deputies the bike had been inside the garage, which had been unlocked. A second dirt bike, which had been inside the garage with the stolen one, was found outside on the grass.

The stolen bike was estimated at $3,500.

Boy robbed of iPod

RACINE - A 14-year-old boy reported he was robbed of an iPod around 2:44 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6 near Blake Avenue and Hamilton Street, Racine police said.

A suspect reportedly verbally threatened him and demanded the iPod Touch, estimated at $200.
