RACINE - CBS 58 (WDJT) in Milwaukee is scheduled to end its simulcast on over the air analog signal on Channel 63 as of noon Thursday, the station announced last week.
The station has been broadcasting on analog Channel 63 since the transition to digital television in March, according to a press release from the station's parent company, Weigel Broadcasting. Homes that were not digital ready were still able to get local news and weather through the simulcast, per a special CBS Network permission through 2009.
A simulcast of MeTV, an entertainment channel including shows like "Mary Tyler Moore" and "Dick Van Dyke," will be offered instead on 63, the release said. CBS 58 will still broadcast over the air at 58.1 and cable and satellite customers will continue to find CBS 58 on their regular channels.
