Margaret Gesner of the Central Racine County Health Department said that it's very likely that many more than 40 people in Racine County are carrying the virus without knowing they have it, in part because of how few people are tested. People who have been hospitalized or work in the medical field are being prioritized for testing, with most of the rest of the public who are showing symptoms being asked to stay home.

“This is definitely something our family never thought would happen to us,” his mother said. She said that her son's obituary included information about how Biddle died from coronavirus because most people, especially young people, don’t think this could happen to them.

Still, some other facilities have already been able to acquire mass testing. Every resident and staff member at The Bay at Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center was tested on Thursday, April 30. However, that's because there was a breakout at the facility. Six staff members and five residents are COVID-positive.
