CALEDONIA — The Franksville Craft Beer Garden, located at Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Memorial Park, 9614 Northwestern Ave., is planning a “Back the Badge” weekend today through Sunday as part of its “Pay-It Forward campaign” to give back to the community.

“We want to help support law enforcement for everything they do for our community,” said co-owner Molly Michel. “With this event we can do that both financially and by celebrating them.”

According to the organization, 15 percent of sales from the weekend will be going to local police departments (Caledonia, Mount Pleasant and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office) for the departments to use as necessary. Additionally, all police officers, from any department, can receive one free beer from the beer garden during the weekend.

The event is also to include live music from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Pine Acres Food Truck is scheduled to be at the beer garden all weekend with its waffles on a stick, gourmet popcorn and other snacks.

“We really hope that we can help make a difference in the community with our Pay-It Forward campaigns,” Michel said.
