Novel is based on 1915 Armenian genocide

They Fell

“They Fell,” a historical fiction by former Racine resident Stephen (Estepan) Michael Stapanian, has been published.

Based on the 1915 Armenian genocide, “They Fell” is also an epic adventure love story. Originally written in 1981, the manuscript was prepared by the late Anne Samuelian of Torosian Enterprise Inc. of Racine, with the cover design at that time created by Mary C. Buchaklian of Racine. It was written for television or motion picture adaptation as well.

The present cover design has been created by graphic designer Jack Haig Murat Dikranian of Tampa, Fla., Stapanian’s communications coordinator.

Stapanian, of Florida, is the son of the late Mike and Sophie Stapanian. He is a 1972 Horlick High School graduate and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.
