MOUNT PLEASANT — The Racine Concert Band and the Case High School Symphonic Band will perform a joint concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Case High School theater, 7345 Washington Ave. (use north theater door).

Max Feiler conducts the Case Symphonic Band in performances of music from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton, “Chorale” by Vaclav Nelhybel and Jared Spears’ “Scenario.” Frank Erickson arrangements of James Bond movie themes and Clare Grundman’s “American Folk Rhapsody No. 2” close the Case program.

Mark Eichner, Racine Concert Band conductor, leads the band performing sinfonia, “The River,” by Dutch composer Juriaan Andriessen, ballet music from “Spartacus” by Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian and “From Every Horizon,” Pulitzer Prize winner Norman Dello Joio’s tone poem to New York. Eichner’s new arrangement of Handel’s “Air and Variations,” better known by the nickname “The Harmonious Blacksmith,” will be premiered.

The bands combine forces for a grand finale, “Fandango,” a 1952 light classic favorite from the pen of Floyd Perkins.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students, and $3 for seniors and children 6 and younger.
