RACINE — The Racine Symphony Orchestra will host a fundraiser called “Music for a Summer Evening: Broadway Bash — Then and Now” from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, 33 E. 4 Mile Road.
The event will feature performances by Nancy Maio, Gare Hofstad, Jeanne Scherkenbach and Nick Sulla. The evening will also include hors d’oeuvres and beverages, desserts, guided tours of Wingspread, and silent and voice auctions.
Voice auction items include a silver and gold necklace and earrings from Rasmussen Diamonds; tickets, merchandise and “First Pitch” certificate from the Kenosha Kingfish; a boat ride on Lake Geneva; a weekend in Spring Green and the American Players Theatre, and tea with maestro Laurino at the Peninsula Hotel. The silent auction includes Brewers tickets, behind-the-scenes tour at WGTD radio, artwork, behind-the-scenes tour at the Racine Art Museum, restaurant gift certificates and additional jewelry.

Proceeds will support the symphony’s six concerts and seven educational programs. The symphony is a nonprofit organization and 80 percent of the ticket price is tax-deductible.
