Indoor Rummage/Vendor Sale: Whitford Park, 625 N. River Road, Waterford, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 10. Sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20.
Chili Supper: Union Grove United Methodist Church, 906 12th Ave., Union Grove, 4-7 p.m. Saturday, March 10. The menu will include chili and all the fixings, beverages and cake. The cost is $5. Children ages 3 and younger eat free. Hot dogs will also be sold. A bake sale will be held. Proceeds will go to Union Grove United Methodist Church and its ministries.
Sugarin’ Off Pancake Breakfast: River Bend Nature Center, 3600 N. Green Bay Road, Caledonia, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sundays, March 11-25. The menu includes pancakes with pure Wisconsin maple syrup, sausage and a beverage. Costs are $8 for adults and $5 for ages 5-10. Children ages 4 and younger eat free. Participants can take a tour through the sugar bush to learn how sap from maple trees is made into syrup.
Book Sale: Items are offered through Collective Goods (formerly known as Books Are Fun) and include a variety of books, stationary, CDs, photo albums and children’s games. Sale locations are:
- Monday, March 12 — Ascension All Saints Hospital Memorial Dining Room, 1320 Wisconsin Ave., 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Tuesday-Friday, March 13-16 — Ascension All Saints Hospital Sturtevant Room, 3801 Spring St., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, 7-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday.
All forms of payment are accepted. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Volunteers in Partnership with Ascension All Saints Hospital.
Sacred Heart Fish Fry: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., 5-7 p.m. Fridays, March 16-23. Costs are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. Pizza is available for $5. The menu includes hand-battered deep fried cod or oven baked cod, french fries or potato pancakes with applesauce, coleslaw, bread, dessert, milk and coffee. Beer, soda and bottled water will be sold.
St. Robert Bellarmine Fish Fry: St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 3320 S. Colony Ave., Union Grove (park in back), 4:30-7:30 p.m. Fridays, March 16-23. The menu includes baked or fried cod, french fries, potato pancakes, coleslaw, applesauce, macaroni and cheese, bread and dessert. Costs are $11 for a three-piece meal and $7 for a two-piece meal.
St. Joseph Fish Fry: St. Joseph School, 1525 Erie St., 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 16. Three dinner options will be available: two pieces of cod and crazy taters; one piece of cod, three pieces of shrimp and crazy taters; or six pieces of shrimp and crazy taters. Macaroni and cheese and crazy taters will also be available for $5. Proceeds will go the seventh- and eighth-grade students for their class trips. The eighth-grade trip this year is to New York.
4th Fest Raffle Fundraiser: Country Pump, 4713 Highway 31, Mount Pleasant, 1-5 p.m. Saturday, March 17. Prizes include meat, lobster, gifts and jewelry. Also 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Proceeds support 4th Fest of Greater Racine.
Fish Boil: St. Matthew’s Parish cafeteria, 9329 S. Chicago Road (Highway 32), Oak Creek, 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 23. The menu includes boiled fish, boiled potatoes, carrots, onions, coleslaw, bread, homemade desserts and beverage. Advance tickets cost $10.50 for adults and are available at the church office. Participants are invited to wear their Mardi Gras best and enjoy live music by students from Carthage College and The Blues Disciples, hors d’oeuvres, an art auction and raffles. The Branch will be transformed for a party straight from the French Quarter of New Orleans. Advance tickets cost $55 each or two for $100. Tickets cost $75 at the door. Fourth Fest Trivia Night: Union Hall, 1840 Sycamore Ave., 7-10:30 p.m. $10. Fourth Fest of Greater Racine will hold a trivia night for teams of up to 10. The cost is $10 per person.
