Happy birthday to us. The Racine Symphony Orchestra, one of the longest-running orchestras in the state of Wisconsin, is celebrating a milestone 85th anniversary this season.
We honor you, our loyal patrons and community members, without whom we would not have reached this achievement. To that end, we already have held several events in the community in commemoration of our 85th anniversary: a children’s poster contest, recognition of past key figures involved with the symphony, free birthday cake distribution to our concert patrons and more.
If you’ve missed out, don’t worry — the celebration is continuing. Whether you are a longtime patron or curious about coming to one of our concerts for the first time, we happily welcome you to attend our pops and masterworks concerts and music education programs. You’ll be glad you did.
Start your holiday season off with the Racine Symphony Orchestra at our holiday pops concert on Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. Doors to Festival Hall, 5 Fifth St., open at 5:30 p.m.
Special guest artist Bob Benson returns to sing your holiday favorites alongside the orchestra. Racine County high school choirs, as well as some younger choral arts students, will also delight you at this not-to-be-missed concert. Be prepared to join in the fun during our Audience Sing-Along.
This concert will sell out so don’t delay your ticket purchase. Tables of eight and 10 are available for $260 and $325, respectively; individual table seats are $32.50 each. General admission is $23 in advance and $25 at the door. As always, students 20 and under receive free general admission.
