YORKVILLE — Apple Holler, 5006 S. Sylvania Ave., will host its ninth annual Apple Orchard Walk & Fundraiser to benefit the MS Society-Wisconsin Chapter on Saturday, Aug. 24.
“This is a personal issue for me,” said Dave Flannery, owner and CEO of Apple Holler. “Three of my sisters have multiple sclerosis. So I have a very special interest in doing what I can to fight this disease, or even find a cure. It is very touching for my family and me to see so many people come out to Apple Holler to support such a worthy cause. In 2012, 600 walkers participated in this special event and raised $12,500 for the MS Society. Even with an impressive number like that, we are hoping to surpass it this year.”
MS Society supporters who “Join The Movement” will take part in a 1-mile walk through the orchard.
For those who are unable to, or choose not to walk the mile route, a tractor-drawn wagon will be available. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the restaurant for an all-you-can-eat apple pancake breakfast.

The entry fee of $20 per walker (or $19 per walker for groups of six or more people) will include a one-half peck bag for Paula Red apples, the apple pancake breakfast and one raffle ticket.
In addition to the walk, Apple Holler will also hold a raffle drawing on the day of the event in support of the MS Society — Wisconsin Chapter. Past raffle items have included gift baskets and gift certificates.
Raffle tickets will be for sale on the day of the event for $1 each, 12 for $10 or 25 for $20. As donations start coming in, Apple Holler will post the list of raffle items on its website, www.appleholler.com.
The schedule of the event is as follows: Apple pancake breakfast, 7-11 a.m.; Orchard Walk check-in, 7:30-9 a.m.; official ribbon cutting and orchard walk, 9 a.m.; and raffle drawing (must be present to win), 10:30 a.m.
