James Larry Green, Sr., passed away peacefully on July 6, 2018.

He was born November 12, 1952, in Pontotoc, MS, by the late James and Christine (nee:Roberson) Green.

James was the first African-American to become a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union in Racine. He was a master carpenter and worked at Ricchio Construction. His well known projects include Target and Regency Mall. His favorite past times were racing, hunting, and fishing. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children Larina Green, James L. Green III, Portia (Noahm) Sneed and Joshua Lockridge. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremiah A. Green.

He will be tremendously missed.

The Green family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who cared for him through the years. Thank you to all the family and friends that stopped by to check up on him, especially his baby daughter Portia (Green) Sneed. All your help was greatly appreciated.

Services will be held Monday, July 16, 2018, 11:00am in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd. Visitation 9:00—11:00 am.
