Mr. and Mrs. Robert Larsen of 1633 Franklin St. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary by going out to dinner together.
Larsen and the former Nancy DeBriyn were married on Oct. 21, 1967, at Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, La. The couple has lived in Racine for 42 years.
Larsen was employed by the Racine County Human Services Department for 28 years, retiring in January of 2004.
He likes watching baseball games and has enjoyed attending baseball games, especially the Kenosha Twins.
Larsen has been involved with the Vietnam Veterans of America, Patriot Guard and Rolling Thunder. He has a wealth of knowledge with regards to fixing things around the house, and has worked on many carpentry and remodeling projects. Larsen has also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Mrs. Larsen was employed by SC Johnson in the financial department for 22 years, retiring in January of 2003.
She is a member of the Lighthouse Quilters Guild and attends monthly workshops at Sew ‘N Save of Racine making quilts for those in need, including quilts for soldiers. She also belongs to bowling and golf leagues.
Mrs. Larsen is a member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church and has been an usher for 10 years.
The Larsens have two children: Keri (Ricky) Larsen-Berryhill and Lindsay Larsen of Racine. They have four grandchildren and one late grandchild.
