Mr. and Mrs. Gary Gayhart of 1058 Stratford Court, Sturtevant, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 18 at dinner with their children at Bass Bay Brewhouse in Muskego.
Gayhart and the former Janis Balog were married on May 18, 1968, at St. Rita Catholic Church.
Gayhart was an iron worker by trade and later owner of Ackley Dornbach, a detention equipment construction business. He was also a senior associate at AECOM Technology Corp.
Gayhart’s hobbies include golf and playing cards with lifelong friends.
Before marrying, Mrs. Gayhart was in the secretarial pool at SC Johnson Wax. She was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mother.
The Gayharts enjoy spending their free time with their family.
The former parishioners of St. Louis Catholic Church in Raymond currently enjoy services at multiple Catholic parishes in Racine.
The Gayharts have three children: Leslie (Timothy Sr.) Thilleman of Racine, Layni Gayhart (Chris Grefe) of Wind Lake and Steve Gayhart of Racine. The couple has two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
