A nine-time winner in this category, Rasmussen Diamonds has been offering the finest in jewelry since 1900.

Today, the staff sells a wide selection of beautiful diamonds and gems, to a full line of Italian enamel bracelets. They also offer the unique like the Galatea carved pearls with turquoise inside.

They remain a family business now under the leadership of Joel Hassler, son-in-law of second-generation owners William and Kathy Sustachek. William’s father bought the business from the Rasmussens in 1977.

Whether it’s remembering their customers’ birthdays and anniversaries after the purchase is over, or offering free wedding planning services to engaged couples, keeping that old-fashioned, personal touch is what makes their business different, said Kathy Sustachek.

“I think the most important thing is focusing on the building of relationships,” she said. “It’s the relations we work very hard to build. It’s not just sell them and run. We want to be sure to say thank you.”
