Christensen Racine County Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 2020-4 RESOLUTION BY THE FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING THE CAPITAL PROJECT – EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT TO INSTALL A NEW JAIL KITCHEN GREASE INTERCEPTOR AND THE TRANSFER OF $37,478.00 WITHIN THE 2019 CAPITAL PROJECTS BUDGET To the Honorable Members of the Racine County Board of Supervisors: WHEREAS, on September 29, 2019, the main jail kitchen grease interceptor located in the D-Wing parking garage overflowed; and WHEREAS, the tank was pumped and the failure was investigated; and WHEREAS, upon pumping, it was determined that one wall of the grease interceptor tank had rusted through and failed, subsequently allowing backfilled material to enter the tank and disrupt the flow and tank operation; and WHEREAS, the equipment is critical to the jail’s kitchen operation and required immediate repair. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Racine County Board of Supervisors that the capital project – emergency procurement for a new jail kitchen grease interceptor and the transfer of funds, as set forth in Exhibit “A” that is attached hereto, with the 2019 Capital Projects budget is hereby authorized and approved.
