Christensen Racine County Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 2020-2 RESOLUTION BY THE FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING THE CAPITAL PROJECT – EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT FOR REPAIRS TO SANDERS PARK PAVILION AND THE TRANSFER OF $53,777.00 WITHIN THE 2019 CAPITAL PROJECTS BUDGET To the Honorable Members of the Racine County Board of Supervisors: WHEREAS, the Sanders Park main pavilion has significant damage requiring various repairs; and WHEREAS, the roof requires re-shingling and the replacement of at least two vertical angled support beams; and WHEREAS, if the support beams are not replaced, the roof may completely collapse, therefore the need for repairs is urgent; and WHEREAS, additional roof boards have a significant amount of rot requiring replacement; and WHEREAS, the condition of other structural members of the roof may have rot damage but cannot be assessed until the current roof boards are removed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Racine County Board of Supervisors that the capital project – emergency procurement for repairs to the Sanders Park Pavilion and the transfer of funds, as set forth in Exhibit “A” that is attached hereto, within the 2019 Capital Projects budget is hereby authorized and approved.
