Evan Schuster, competing in the boys 11-12 age group, won the 100 and 200-meters events to lead the way for the City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department’s entrants at the Hershey District Track and Field meet held June 8 at Wauwatosa.

Schuster was the only double-event winner from Racine.

Other Racine winners were:

Boys 11-12 — Noah Trevino, 400 meters.

Boys 13-14 — Ethan Letsch, 200; Tyler Beyer, 800.

Girls 11-12 — Olivia Pitrof, 800.

Girls 13-14 — Sydney Pitrof, 1,600.

Racine entrants placing second were:

Boys 9-10 — Tyler Williams, 100 meters.

Boys 11-12 — Nicholas Fugiasco, softball throw; 4x100 relay team of Jackson Ford, Tommy Hempel, Shawn Maringer, Caden Stehlik.

Boys 13-14 — Daniel Quets, 1,600; Jack Long, softball throw.

Girls 11-12 — Amaya Jerdee, 200; Kate McPhee, 400.

Girls 13-14 — Sydney Pitrof, 800.

All first and second-place finishers from the district meet qualify for the Hershey Track & Field state meet June 22 at Wauwatosa.

In addition, several Racine entrants qualified for the state meet based on times and finishes at the district meet:

Girls 9-10 — 4x100 relay team of Madeline Bersch, Payton Conley, Isabella Nikolic, Ally Stape.

Boys 13-14 — Ethan Letsch, 100; 4x100 relay team of Tyler Byer, Nathan Bigna, Nick Ignasiak, Jack Long.
