Lennie Boresch Jr. of Kenosha, a regular in Racine bowling leagues and a regional PBA pro, finished sixth in the PBA Senior U.S. Open at Suncoast Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

Boresch was fifth going into the final eight games of match play, but fell 58 pins short of advancing to the stepladder finals (top four). Boresch had a match record of 13-10-1 and won $3,500.

Amleto Monacelli of Venezuela, the top seed after match play, won the championship, beating No. 4 seed Ron Mohr of Las Vegas 199-193.

Boresch will compete in the USBC Senior Masters beginning this week at South Point Bowling Center in Las Vegas.
