MILWAUKEE — Chris Loschetter of Avon, Ohio, will go for his first Professional Bowlers Association Tour title Saturday, June 1 after withstanding a challenge from PBA Hall of Fame member Norm Duke in the PBA Wolf Open at AMF West Lanes.
Loschetter, who turned 33 Friday, has finished second four times, but held onto the top seed by two pins for the stepladder finals at 2:30 p.m. June 1 at AMF West, 7505 W. Oklahoma. His pinfall, including bonus pins, is 6,617.
Duke, at 6,615, left a solid 8-pin in his final qualifying game Friday. Also in the stepladder finals is PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber (fourth, 6,477), who is tied with Duke for third in career PBA titles (37 each).
“I’m definitely due,” Loschetter said. “I feel like I deserve a title more than anybody out here. I hope this time it happens. I’ve had some horrible breaks on TV, but I think the time has come.”
