Austin Lentz won four events in the boys 13-14 age division and Nathaniel Foster won four in boys 9-10 to lead the South Eastern Aquatics Racine Family YMCA swim team to second place at the Wisconsin YMCA Regional Meet at Augustine Prep in Milwaukee.
Lentz won the four distance freestyle races, taking the 200-yard freestyle in 2:16.56, the 500 freestyle in 6:08.33, the 1,000 freestyle in 12:46.86 and the 1,650 freestyle in 21:53.07. In the same age group, Josh Abel and Nathan Mudry won two events each.
Foster won the 50 backstroke in 40.51 seconds, the 100 backstroke in 1:28.86, the 50 butterfly in 41.29 and the 100 individual medley in 1:28.91. Foster was also second in two races.
Macie Ritter won the 500 freestyle (5:39.17), the 200 individual medley (2:26.78) and 400 IM (5:11.27) in girls 13-14. Also winning multiple races was Nadya Muzyka in girls open (500 freestle, 200 backstroke).
Earning state qualifying times were Macie Ritter in three events and Hugh Arteaga, Zoe D’Alessandro, Nolan Mrotek, Muzyka, Megan Schultz and CJ Trask in one event each.
SEA, which totaled 3,070.5 points, will swim in the YMCA State Meet this weekend at the Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer.
Bowlers roll honor scores
Two bowlers had honor scores Monday in the Castle Classic League at Castle Lanes, with Tony Cruz pulled off a double. Cruz, 55, rolled his first lifetime 800 series on games of 268, 300 and 237 for an 805 series. The 300 was Cruz’s fifth. Also in the league, Scott Kenyon rolled his third lifetime 300 game in the middle of a 733 series. His other games were 232 and 201.
In the Monday Night Classic League at River City Lanes in Waterford, Sue Daschner rolled a 727 women’s national honor series with a high game of 256.
