The Union Grove High School girls golf team added another championship in the Racine County Invitational Monday.

St. Catherine’s kept its own streak going as well.

The Broncos’ top four players each broke 100 on the Red and White nines at Ives Grove Golf Links in Yorkville as they won their second title in three years with a total of 371. Waterford finished second with 386 and Park pulled off a little surprise by finishing third at 405.

Ashley Lawler of St. Catherine’s was the medalist with an 82, giving the Angels their fourth straight individual championship. Sarah Busey, who graduated last spring as one of the best girls golfers in county history, won titles as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Lawler had one birdie and was driving the ball well, coach Dave Arkenberg said.

“Ashley put it all together today,” Arkenberg said. “She had a heck of a day.”

Union Grove, which won the County Invitational for the first time in 2015, was led by senior Megan Koch, who shot an 85 to tie for third. Senior Jackie Bianchi shot a 93 (sixth), junior Sydney Staaden shot a 96 (tied for ninth) and freshman Veronica Parco shot a 97 (tied for 11th).

Waterford junior Aubrie Torhorst shot an 83 to finish second and lead the Wolverines, and senior Natalie Horn shot a 95 (tied for seventh).

Park, behind a career-best 89 (fifth place) from senior Samm Cuellar, totaled 405 for the Panthers’ best finish in several years.

Burlington was fourth with 408, led by Kya Kafar (95, tied for seventh) and Prairie was fifth (421), led by Kate Munro (85, tied for third).
