The UW-Parkside women’s soccer team played catchup all night and lost 3-2 to Quincy in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game Friday at Legends Stadium at Quincy, Ill.

It was the first loss of the season for the Rangers (3-1-1, 1-1-1 GLVC), ranked 18th among NCAA Division II teams.

Jaclyn Mastroianni scored in the sixth and 72nd minutes to give Quincy (4-0-1, 3-0 GLVC) a 2-0 lead.

Emily Konior’s goal, off assists by Katie Gavin and Jasmine Espino, pulled the Rangers within 2-1 and Espino scored in the 88th minute to tie the game 2-2.

But Kristine Vogt scored just 77 seconds later for the game-winner for Quincy.

The Lady Hawks outshot the Rangers 14-8, including 11-0 in the first half.
