Amet honored in track & field
Enyo Amet, a graduate of The Prairie School, is one of 11 members of the UW-Whitewater track and field program to earn All-Midwest Region accolades from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association this indoor season.
Amet, a senior, earned All-Region honors in the high jump and 4x400-meter relay.
Fitzpatrick qualifies in gymnastics
Bailey Fitzpatrick, a Burlington High School graduate, is one of seven members from UW-Whitewater to qualify for events at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Individual Event Finals, which will be March 24 at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.

The Warhawks combined to qualify for 12 spots on vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Top five finishers, including ties, from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship/NCGA West Regional over the weekend and top five finishers in Season Average Score (SAS) from the regular season were automatically qualified in each event.
Top 12 finishers in each event at the NCGA Individual Event Finals earn All-America distinction. Placers 1-6 earn first team accolades, while placers 7-12 garner second team honors.
UW-Whitewater also qualified for the NCGA Team Championship, which is scheduled for March 23 in Springfield. The team seeks its second consecutive national title and fifth in program history.
