The UW-Parkside men’s basketball team was freezing cold against the Flames on Wednesday night.

The Rangers made only 18 of 69 shots, including 9 of 31 three-point attempts, in a 76-48 loss to the NCAA Division I University of Illinois-Chicago in Chicago.

The Flames (3-5) led 35-35 at halftime and pushed the lead to 20 in the second half. Parkside shot 26 percent in the game.

“I’m not surprised by the result, but I’m disappointed in how we played,” said Rangers head coach Luke Reigel. “We did not execute well at all.”

Espen Fjaerestad led Parkside (1-6) with 12 points, and Adam Bonk added 10. Joe Borcia grabbed nine rebounds and Jameel Moore had five assists.
