The Carthage College women’s basketball team is on a roll.

The Lady Reds defeated Coe College 67-49 in a conference game on Tuesday in Kohawk Arena at Cedar Rapids. It was the Lady Reds’ third win in as many games this season.

Carthage took control of the game early, leading 25-7 after the first quarter and 37-17 at halftime.

Rachel Szydlowski and Madie Kaelber each had 16 points for Carthage. Teammate Morgan Harris grabbed 10 rebounds.

Jenna Lehman led Coe (1-2) with 13 points.

Men’s basketball

UW-PARKSIDE: Kameron Kolberg of Rockton, Ill., has signed a national letter of intent to attend Parkside.

“Kameron is an outstanding addition to our program,” Parkside coach Luke Reigel said. “He has an incredible work ethic both on the court and in the classroom, where he’s achieved at a high level. So, we are very excited to add him to our program.”

Kolberg, who is 6-3, was named All-Conference honorable mention for the second time in his career after leading Hononegah High School to a regional championship. He averaged 14.9 points and 4.9 rebounds last season.

Women’s volleyball

UW-PARKSIDE: The Rangers have signed three recruits to national letters of intent: right side hitter/setter Jessie Bradshaw (Oakdale, Minn.), outside hitter/middle blocker Alivia Marks (Hartford and middle blocker Yiannoula Kirimis (Crystal Lake, Ill.).

Men’s swimming

CARTHAGE: Nick Seroni was selected as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men’s Swimmer of the Week.

Seroni, a freshman from Inverness, Ill., earned a pair of personal bests at the three-day University of Chicago’s Phoenix Fall Classic over the weekend. He finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly at 50.50. He also finished third in the 200-yard butterfly with a school record time of 1:53.03. Seroni was part of the third place 400-yard medley relay that finished in 3:24.72, which currently ranks fourth nationally among Division III schools.
