Sophomore Nathan Miller, a Park High School graduate, certainly made a name for himself as the goalkeeper for the UW-Platteville men’s soccer team this season.

The 5-foot-9, 173-pound Miller started all 18 games for the Pioneers (12-4-2), whose season ended Sunday, Nov. 12 when they lost 6-1 to 12th-ranked North Park (18-1-1) in a second-round game of the NCAA Division III tournament.

Miller, who made five saves in the loss to North Park, tied for fifth most shutouts in school history with seven this season.

Miller, a 2016 graduate of Park, allowed 23 goals and made 61 saves, finishing with a 1.24 goals-against average.

The Pioneers had their best record since 2012, when they also advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Their season included an eight-game winning streak, the third longest in school history.
