The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team will face Virginia on Nov. 27 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The matchup will feature former co-workers Greg Gard and Tony Bennett meeting for the first time as head coaches.

Bennett, the son of former UW coach Dick Bennett, and Gard spent two seasons together on former Badgers coach Bo Ryan’s staff at UW in the early 2000s.

The dates for the 19th annual tournament were released by the conferences on Monday. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will broadcast all 14 games, but tip-off times and TV assignments for each game have not been announced.

The November game will be the third time the two teams have met in six seasons. The Badgers beat the Cavaliers 48-38 in the 2013 Challenge after Virginia took the first meeting 60-54 the previous season.

Virginia finished 23-11 last season and lost 65-39 in the second round of the NCAA tournament to Florida. The Gators beat the Badgers six days later when Chris Chiozza connected on a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to end the Badgers' season with a 84-83 defeat.
