LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) -- Jared Walsh hit a solo home run in the ninth inning, leading the Inland Empire 66ers to a 6-5 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm on Monday.
Matt Custred got Brad Zunica to hit into a forceout with a runner on first to end the game for his second save of the season.
Brandon Sandoval hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Jordan Zimmerman in the first inning to give the 66ers a 3-0 lead. The Storm came back to take a 4-3 lead in the first inning when they put up four runs, including a solo home run by Buddy Reed.
Inland Empire regained the lead 5-4 after it scored one run in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Walsh that scored Luis Rengifo.
Lake Elsinore tied the game 5-5 in the seventh when Jorge Ona hit an RBI double, bringing home Reed.
Zac Ryan (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Elliot Ashbeck (0-1) took the loss in the California League game.
Reed homered and singled twice, scoring two runs for the Storm.
